This architecture is a neutral space ready to contain the influence of a specific place of the city. Not the built mass but the void becomes dominant because of the existence of this space: a space suspended and released from the ground, shaped by flows and activities.

Void is a part of urban structure and at the same time is a structure of the building's body: matter, form, geometry become secondary elements compared with the human activity which produces the specific character of the void.

The white-hot macma is a whole constituted by points of energy continuously rising up and disappearing. The never ending flowing  of lava escaves and shapes a matter always changing so that it's the energy to model space.

A simple and clear concept subtend the building spatial organization. There are three main zones which are put close and in relation by mutual exchanges of energy and flows. Spatial separation makes every zones have a physical and mental exchange between the offices and entertainment functions of the spatial agency.

This exchange takes place in between the unstable borders of the single zones, which contract and expand according to space-time needs of the center. Offices wraps up to the outside of the building uniformly; the public spaces and conference zones move towards the inner void of the building's body and it's skin bends according to the activity that takes place in the middle of the building itself.

Zones gain different shapes and configurations which offer the right space for every use. The skin of the building represent the human production that modifies the urban void, turning it in a space able to makes a connection between the scientific research agency and the city guesting it. Urban void becomes a space of communication.
